Represent the owner’s priorities
The owner’s priorities may concern availability, cost control, privacy, technical condition, resale value, family use, corporate use or a combination of these. Representation begins by making those priorities explicit.
Review information rather than replace specialists
Azari Aviation can help review reporting, coordinate meetings and track decisions, but specialist technical, legal, tax, insurance and regulatory advice remains with appropriately qualified providers.
Create an escalation route
Operational problems become harder when every provider assumes another party is informing the owner. A representation structure should identify what must be escalated, by whom and on what timescale.
Support major decisions
Management changes, substantial maintenance events, refurbishment, acquisition of a replacement aircraft or sale of the current aircraft can require an owner-side process independent of the existing service provider.
Keep commercial relationships legible
Fees, mark-ups, commissions and supplier relationships should be disclosed where relevant to the owner’s decision. Representation is stronger when incentives can be understood.
